Today Ron went to town and practiced his Greek with the baker, vegetable stand, super market  and the travel bureau in order to get tickets for our visit to the island of Hydra tomorrow.

He also started the project he has wanted to do while here, photograph doors of the island.

Well he returned with some wonderful shots, I have a feeling photography classes are coming up next.

Here are some of the shots, you will notice there are so many colorful styles, some are neoclassic, some of the style that island in this part of the Aegean are designed and some unique contemporary ones as well.

                         

I just love this one, they have used an old door that was painted a light blue and part of the original  color still remains on it. It has a very old fashioned piece of hardware that gives it a wonderful touch.
