13 September 2013

A warm morning welcomed us, it was around 79F and the sky was blue with a hint of some clouds coming from Athens.

The katydids had already started their serenade and the white and fuchsia buganvilias looked so vibrant
and proud draped over the stark white wall and doorway across our veranda.

The fishing boats were allready far in the horizon, they will return soon in time to supply lunch to the seaside restaurants and kitchens through the island.

It is Friday, the beautiful and graceful sailboats started coming in for the weekend, some from Athens
as well as the islands of Spetse, Hydra and Aegena.

After our breakfast, we took of to the beach, actually we discovered this beach two years ago it is so lovely, a very small cove that is surrounded by pines that hang down from the high cliffs while by the water is a beautiful small private byzantine style church. will post pictures soon, as it is worth seeing.

We went back home to freshen up, by the way this the stairway towards our house.

Spent a great evening by the terrace and enjoyed the ever changing colors of the sea and the sky while,
wind-surfers, kayakers, sailing boats, power boats, big time yachts and ferry boats were passing by.

The evening came while our wonderful neighbor ( a young man who is serving in the police force on the island) who was entertaining some friends, came with a plate of octopus, fish he had barbecued and had spearfished that day and...cheese cake! What a pleasure, especially when he started playing his guitar and they started singing. Their melody was so lovely and welcoming.

Another great day and perfect evening.
