23 September 2013

The weather started changing with some Northern wind and even rain one morning, a rear occurrence at the island which was very refreshing and surely a welcomed event by all.

This morning it was a delightful morning we had our breakfast on the terrace while the day was starting to get warmer.

It is a very special day today, both our son Lancelot as well as our grandson were born early this morning 36 years apart from each other. Just about the beginning of Fall such marvelous events to celebrate each year. Magical memories.

How incredible how much has happened, changed and evolved during this span of time!

After lunch Ron and I went to town and attempted to do some work at a cafe where there was secure wifi.

The problem was that it was a bit slow and we decided instead to take a walk around the town
of Poros and explore some more. It was a perfect time to do it.

Here are some shots from this particular walk.

This very old small church is on the very top of the town. It's door is always open as most all churches here, welcoming anyone to pray and light a candle.

I lit a candle for our two beautiful boys who were celebrating today
leaving behind my grateful thoughts.

The light was coming in from this window with the fuchsia cyclamen casting it's glow on its blooms.

Someone had come by andy had left some jasmine on the icon along with their prayer.

The outside of the church.

My favorite trees, the fig tree that grows wild in the most arid and infertile areas filled with figs and the ever so special olive tree.

More of the so lovely buganvillias.

The sun was slowly coming down as we started descending the steep steps and the vistas were so marvelous each turn we took.

A lot of the sidewalks and walls are white washed and this one rock had night flowers growing from it.
This last picture I dedicate to my two beautiful boys and the purity and innocence of their first day of life, may they always be healthy and happy.
